How often do boats like this one come up?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290302001551

It is a 2007 Challenger 180 supercharged needing all new seats, and needing the engine to be put back together (removed supercharger).
Even if it needs a whole new engine seems like a crazy deal...

Does anyone on here watch ebay much? How often do deals like this come up??
I wanna sell my boat and get one of these!!!

more often than you think , I watch every day

Out of curiousity....does anyone have an idea how something like this would happen? Like how did this boat end up missing all the seats and having the SC removed but provided? Any speculation??

likely stolen for spaciffic parts

:agree:, same situation a few weeks ago, Challenger stolen, missing seats, radio, pump, few other things, but not the motor. Think it ended about same price. OR, wanted to convert it to an outboard, and threw in the towel

I've been thinking 'bout the 2005 challenger 180 on ebay that is missing the dashboard... haven't fully read through the wiring diagrams yet, but...
Can anyone tell me if it is similar to the older boats where all the engine management is in the ECM in the engine bay, and the dash displays are just displays?

If so I'd be much more interested as I can just skip all the ugly digital gauges and wire up some nice clean VDO, teleflex, or faria analog gauges

Challenger 180 Dash

Vilord,

I have a 2005 Challenger 180 and as far as I can tell, the boat will run fine without the gauges. If you want to know for sure, I'll go unplug all mine and let you know. I have actually removed the speedo from mine and replaced it with a GPS/fish finder. Ofcourse you will need the start/stop switch and the DESS post intact though. You can order all the parts to build the dash if you want to. Its not going to be cheap though.

Also note the 2005s do not use a digital dash, they have analog Faria guages.
