crack on driveshaft

After pulling out both driveshaft to change both carbon seals on my 96 speedster I noticed that both driveshafts had cracks on the carbon seal end of the shaft. Should I change out the driveshafts ?? Anyone had this problem?

I have never seen a crack like that. I would DEFINITELY swap them out. That is a failure looking for a place to happen.

Did you suck up something hard that seized up your pump? It would take some pretty serious stresses to crack one of these things.

looks like a defect in the steel.

but as above... replace them. if they break... it could cause other issues.
