Could it be my Rev Limiter?

On cold start front cylinder inop-intermittent. After no more than ten minutes runs ruff then runs fine. Runs fine rest of the day. Any ideas? New plugs, good fuel, cleaned fuel filter, compression even.

remove the plug boots, and clip the wires back a 1/4in.

And for the newbie, why would this work?

yup, at the plug end. It works, cause over time, corrosion sets in under the boots, eliminating the spark to reach the plug, along with, the wires insidethe insulation, gets corroded and jammed back. So, cut'n it, exposes a new/clean contact, for spark to travel.
