converting to premix

OK... I don't what to tell you what to do with your ski... but why? The oil system in most seadoo's is used for more than just the mix oil. If it's working... leave it in.

On you ski... you will remove the pump, the hose that feeds it, and the 2 hoses going into the manifold. Block off the hole where the pump was, cap off the 2 nipples in the manifold, and plug the line in the oil tank. Then... mix the fuel in the tank at 40:1

Do not remove the tank, or the 2 hoses that feed the rotary valve gears. And you will need to leave a half gallon or so of oil in it to keep the gears lubed.

dont do it...your gonna spend an arm and atleast half a leg in oil, the doo oil pumps are pretty reliable homie...and you didnt mention it but, alot of people wanna go pre mix to get rid of the oil tank...guess what you gotta leave it, or "loop" the oil lines to the rotary valve!!!

The reason I was thinking of converting is because I think the pump is starting to fail, sometimes it runs fine and then all is does is smoke alot and barely go above idle. I have heard if they fail open, this is what happens. I just feel like going premix would be an easier fix, than rebuilding pump. Jetski is at lake all the time, so it would have to be done on the water, on a jetdock.

the method that Dr. Honda is correct, but one thing.

Remove the intake/rv manifold, to then, removethe 6-allen bolts, securing the intake to the rv cover...(its 2-pieces). You'll see a white gear, inside, remove that, then put/bolt everything, back together.
