I had a coil pack on one engine go bad on my 97 speedster. I replaced it and it started once and the new one went bad also. Any ideas why?

If both spark plugs wires are not on the plugs or the grounding posts, the ignition will generate VERY high voltage and can burn it self out.

I used the old spark plug connector, I should have bought those also. I guess I will buy a new coil pack, ends and plugs and try again. Thank you.

Thank you for your help. After replacing again and no spark, I found a thread that helped me out. After unhooking from MPEM, I got a spark. I planned on replacing the MPEM anyway, just wanted to get through this season. I guess the season is over. Lol.
