HeLp!! I recently bought a used 2006 GTX & have ridden it all of about 2 hours & out of nowhere on July 4th wknd it started beeping & then died. We got it started again & there on the display it said "High exhaust heat"...towed it back to shore w/ the boat--didn't want to chance hurting anything or making it worse. Got it on the trailer & hooked to a hose & it didn't do it again so we assumed it was a fluke. Got back on the water & did it again. URGH!!
Have checked all of the fluids, hoses & everything a non mechanic female can & now it's at the shop I bought it from.
Problem is that the code on the Buds thingy says 1544 when connected to the sea doo, but in the book there is no code 1544. WTH?? I called a couple other shops & of course they say bring it in.
So any hints on where to start so the shop doesn't charge me an arm & leg for all the hourly labor to find the problem?
They think it needs high pressure through the hoses--might be a "clog", but if that were the case then why does the water flow through w/ a steady stream until you start it then starts spuddering?? Wouldn't it be clogged weather or not it was started??
HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP...oh did I say HELP??
