I read something here that said start the engine for 30 sec then off for 30 sec and ck oil on 4tec 155. I did this and found the oil was at the bottom of the hash mark. Interestingly, I checked it before I ever started it, totally cold, and the oil level was 2/3 up the hash, basically perfect. What is the proper way to ck.

Also, I want to ride tomorrow and may need to add a little oil. Dealer is closed, what kind of oil from autozone will be compatible with the dealership oil in there now? Thank you

Figured out why the oil was low. While my trailer and ski looked level, it was not. I put a small level on the motor and realized it was way to high. After adjusting, the oil level was perfect, just past half.

Ran engine on the hose for 2-3 minutes, let it rest for 1 minute and checked it.

Regarding oil, mine calls for 5/40 synthetic but seems like many run 10/40
