I'm the first time recent buyer of a 2002 LRV DI and when I took it out today, it ran great for the first 45 minutes but than the maintenance light started flashing, I couldn't rev above 4800 rpm and after another 10 minutes the low voltage light came on.

The battery itself is a new one I bought 1.5 months ago, charged the night before so now I'm assuming there's a problem with the charging system. Being so new to the whole Seadoo thing, I'm not familiar with the most common problems and wanted to see, what would be the first thing to look at?

I've heard somewhere before that the rectifier would be the most likely cause, that sound reasonable? If not, what else should at look at?

Thanks for the help and looking forward to fixing it and getting it back out!

PS: where's the best place to buy parts too?

Thanks for the reply, I launched in Newport Beach and went out around the jetties a little in corona del mar, just getting comfortable taking it out and trying it out.

Where's a good place to buy a rectifier?

Hat launching from Newport, gotta wake for MILES...

Dana Point is bad-a**

Hmmnnnn, might have to try that next time, it was a real pain in the a** idling along until you can get to the open water---took a good 40 minutes.

Good stuff! Live and learn...
