charging/battery issue

I have a 96 gas. Before Winter the jetski had no problems with charging or anything. I put in anew battery from West Marine and everything was fine. Over Winter we let it sit with no battery tender on it so I knew it would be dead and it was. nI charged the battery (battery out of jetski) and then put it back in. Jetski started up great and had no issues. Took it to the lake and it started up about four times with no issues. Brought it home and let it sit for a week and the battery was dead again. This is where the problem starts. The battery never died that quick before and now we have to jump it to get it to start because I did not have the charger. The jet ski jumped just fine and an no problem. We drove it on the lake for a while and then turned it off. 5 min later it started right up again. so we figured it just needed a good long run and charge. Well it sat for maybe 30 min... wouldnt start. Jumped it again and ran it for a awhile. Turned it off and now it wont start again. Something si either draining it quick or it is not getting a charge. I'm going with something is drainging it because it had a full charge for sure and then dies in a week. Any suggestions or anything to check to trouble shoot this more? thanks in advance?

Batteries can last more than a season if tendered.
Now it may have a charged voltage, but because of sulfation, may not have CCA's.
Remove the battery and take it to an auto part store as they usually will load test your charged battery for free. Do all the normal maintenance and post final results,
and any issues.

I tested it and it is above the rated cranking amps. It also has started fine on just battery... but it dies quickly. Isit possible the battery could be rated well but just not have good holding capacity?

You have compression & spark, very good. Clean the filters in carbs, fuel water sepatator/filter. With supply line to carb removed and in a catch bottle, apply a
lite amount of air chuck psi into the return line, and gas should come out in both
fuel selector valve positions, on & reserve. Once it routes, you should have no problem with it keep running. If you do, you have to rebuild the carbs.

where would I go to have it load tested? I tested it on some unit that tells me voltage, i input mca, and then it tells me what measured as the mca's and what state of health the battery is in. it all read great and 100%. Is a load test still in order?

And Bill I'm guessing you meant to post that somewhere else.

Both the battery and the starter are in question, both can be removed & load tested
An Auto Parts store will probly do the load tests for free.

Ok well The battery did have a bad cell. Replaced that and it worked. But then the exhaust starting leaking so I didnt get to test it anymore.... damn boats
