I have a 1997 seadoo challenger with a 787. This is maybe a silly question but im am new to jet boats this is my first. I am wondering if the exhaust pistons should both be threaded on the rave valves, because one of mine are and one rave valve just slips in it losely. Also does anyone know where i can buy seats or seat covers. Thanks for any help.

Are you referring to the bellows that screw onto the rave valve stems?
The bellows is the rubber part and the piston is the the plastic part that threads onto the metal valve. Are the threads just stripped or did the piston melt? If the plastic piston melted, you should replace both valves and the housings (the part that bolts to the engine). When they wear out, the hot exhaust gases will get through and melt the piston. If it is just stripped, replace the piston.

yeah it is called the exhaust pistons. But actually it looks like there just strippped but my other one that i replaced had melted, also the rave valve was broke do i need to change the housing to. It looks fine to me couldn't really see anything wrong. What causes them to melt an what causes the rave valves to snap.
