Hey guys, I have another question. 2006 Challenger 215 s/c engine, today I had it in the water, and got a small piece of debris caught in the impeller.
I pressed the intake clearing button, shifted into reverse, and gave it some throttle.
The problem?, in reverse, the throttle would only move about 1/4- maybe- 1/3 forward where it felt like it hit a permanent stop. I tried a few times couldn't clear the debris so I trailered it up the ramp, climbed under and pulled out a small piece of wood(actually a hard knot), everything was back to jake except my psychie....I am not at all sure the 1/3 reverse throttle is normal?
I use reverse in backing of the trailer, slowing down in tight spots etc, I have had the boat for two years, yet I am not really sure if in that time I have ever used more than 1/3 reverse throtle.
Is this normal? is it some safety thing to keep from too much pressure on the reverse gate?....and I am just having a "senior moment"?, or is there something I need to fix?
OK you young-ins...give an old-guy a hand here....man...getting old, sure ain't fer sissies!
Thanks, The Timeman
