I was in the process of rebuilding the carbs on my 98 GSX and had stop stop in the middle. I was able to get everything back together no problem but cant remember where one spring goes. I had it with my parts for the accelerator pump but have searched all over and cant find a break down of the pump. Does anyone know where this spring might go on the carb or pump? Thanks.

Since I don't have a size reference... the only think I can think of, is that it's the spring at the top of the pump arm.

:agree: It is a spring for the pump arm off of the acc pump. There is actually 2 springs that are used for the arm. There is one that is inline at the base of the arm that sits vertical. The spring that is shown in your pic, is the spring that sits perpindicular at the base of the arm (closest to the acc pump) Both springs are a couple cm's a part, and create an "L" shape. The nylon piece sits up against the pump arm.....while the other end sits against the carb body. You should see little "bumps" where the spring seats....
