Can you take the carbs off and apart and clean everything without ruining any of the gaskets?

Or should I just wait to tear into it until I can get the rebuild kits

I'm not able to order rebuild kits right now because the job is getting ready to send us somewhere else and I don't know where to have them sent.

I don't want to mess anything up when I can't get parts to fix it right away but I know those internal filters need cleaning.

Also do you have to do a pop off test if you just take them apart to clean them as opposed to rebuilding?

If you go slowly and the crap factor is low you will only take apart-put together after cleaning, do it in a cookie sheet so you can find stuff that falls, the only way to know for sure is go in, if you only need 1 or 2 parts you are bux ahead just buying those at a motorcycle shop.
