well guys the ski runnins absolutely PERFECT... never had it running this good since day one... and i've had it for 3 years. Glad I did what I did and now It won't be hard at all to do again now that i've done it

Glad it all worked out for you however what Bill was trying to tell you is if you don't change all your fuel lines over to rubber automotive fuel line and clean the fuel selector and screen on the bottom of the fuel pickup you will most likely be doing this again in the near future.

Look here for more info.

Gotcha, thanks buddy, I just HAD to test it out to see if I actually got this thing back together right. haha surprisingly it was perfect, never been this responsive and smooth... but yeah I don't mind doing it again soon and change out the fuel lines it really wasn't bad once i figured out all the little tricks and what to do ha

way to go home-cut...

Yeah bud, need to replacethose grey fuel lines, but now, job will take you no time...:hurray: Also, those "black caps with red dots" on your motor, remove those and clean/wire wheel the valves under them...they buid-up with carbon and harbor performance as well..that job will take you 1/2hr, stud....

Replace N/S, install OEM carb kit

Would this be the same way to clean the carbs on a 96 xp??? not sure if they are the same. kinda look like it.

1996 jetting specs are 142.5 HSJ's and 70 LSJ's, 80 gram spring ( black) and 1.5 N&S's.
LS adjusters at 1 turn plus or minus 1/4 turn out.
HS adjusters zero to 1/8th turn out.

omg i see what you were saying i just pulled mine out of 99 gsk limited....what a pain in the ass!!!! going to get fuel lines now before i dare attempt dismantling the carbs

well the carb assembly is out...i have to read up on how the hell to tear them apart as i have no clue and never torn carbs apart.

The fuel lines in the engine compartment of the hull are replaced. i still need to do the lines up front, but i can not figure out how to get the baffle out so i can fix the fuel gauge issue and clean the screen on it.

Any tips on how to get the baffle out or on cleaning these carbs?

Also need to know how to get the fuel selector off to flush it out? Do you need to flush this out?

my carbs have 100 hours on them do i need to rebuild or am i fine with the screen clean/fuel line replacement????

A DIY'r usually buys a few tools needed. Pop-off gauge =http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?t=3495

thanks i just found those step by step this morning and printed it, i knew it was out there. going to do the carbs when i get home then once i get the baffle out and last few lines done i can re assemble all :hurray:

After the carbs are re-assembled, leak down test them with your pop-off tester
each carb should be no more than one psi apart, and hold 5 psi for 5 minutes to
insure the re-assemblt went well and not pushing on the needle lever (opening the
needle) and the needles open at the PO spec. Use a small paint brush to liberally brush White Litheum grease all over the carb bodies, linkages, and cables after reinstalling to lubricate and prevent Aluminum Oxidation permiation of the aluminum carburetor wall and into the fuel circulatory.
