I would like to use the 4tec from my 05 GTX in my 06 GTI se. I know the gtx is 155hp and the GTI is 130hp. Looks like some physical differences as the tops valve is not on the 06. At least not in the same spot. Anyone done this or have any advice?
It is doable but as you noted there are differences and even more internally like the cranks are keyed differently for the CPS. Why do you want to switch motors?
