so my ski messed up on me today, ive had a weird problem with it anyways when i checkd the recitifier one day it just kept giving me fast weird readings, i swapped the computers and the coils and batteries and all and still had that problem with the reading, so i thought maybe bad stator, well now i have no spark today, and i hav swaped computer boxes and coilse and cut spark plug wires and all its just not happening, could the stator cause this?

On the 800's... the pulse coil can break from it's mount, and you will loose spark. Did you pull the MAG cover off?

no i wanted to make sure that could cause it, i guess i will pull the mag gover off tomorrow. what should i look for to see if it is bad?

I am going to remove the cover after work tomorrow I see only seadoo seels new ones for 100 how can I test it tomorrow one I pull the cover

You don't need a new gasket for the cover. It will be fine to reuse.

Once the cover is off... you will see the stator, and the pulse coil. If the stator is bad... it will normally look cooked. The pulse coil will physically be broken, if it's bad.

What is the pulse coil. Will it be on the stator cover ya I know it dont need a gasket but sucks I have to take it off that front motor mount lol

well i pulled the cover off and i found out that the trigger or whatever you would call it was hanging and had one of the wires riped off and the stator looks kinda rough to so i am going to get all new stuff if i can

Yep... the mid to late 90's 800 engine has that problem. The coil will break from it's mount, and the ignition just shuts off.

well that sure sucks i would like to replace the stator to because of the weird reading i was getting. so i guess ima start looking around, this sucks lol always something
