1994 seadoo spx 587 I will be purchasing a wear ring kit today and am thinking it would be best to just replace impeller also due to condition and age. the jet ski is stock and how I plan to leave it as finding parts like exhausts etc are proving to be difficult. is there an impeller that would be an "upgrade" and give me any more performance? would really not like to loose any low OR top end thanks!

I have no experience with the 587 but as a general rule unless you increase hp if you change pitch you will either loose top end and gain acceleration or loose acceleration and gain top end

Your stock impeller should be stainless steel you could go with a solas or scatrack in stock or close to stock pitch again I have no experience with that motor but it will cost you 200 to 250 for either of those or you could send in your core and get an sbt reman for 60 bucks not sure the cost to benefit is really there for an upgrade but someone else might know more than me about your ski

well mine has alittle wear on it from previous owner and looking to just doing everyone right the first time and not have to take back apart again. I appreciate all the info by chance do you know what stock pitch is or where to find that out?

Do you have an spx or spi because the 94 spx should have the 657 where the spi has a 587 the spi stock is 14/21 the spx stock is 15/20.5
