Hi. I am new to the forum and have just a couple of questions. I am currently looking to purchase 2-2006 Seadoo GTI 130hp pwc's. They are a GTI Rental model as opposed to a GTI SE or GTI STD. Could anyone tell me what the difference is since the dealer here doesn't even know. Also, one of them is missing the entire propulsion and pump setup in the back. Can I replace it with an SE or GTI parts since some of them are different for the rental?
Thanks. Todd

I don't think I would ever buy a "Rental", unless its really cheap. I don't buy rental cars either...but they do good burn outs and handle the abuse well...heck it's a rental. :ack:

Rental equipment is always abused… and the ONLY reason a company would sell off equipment, is because it is no longer making them money. Think about it…the one that is complete… why would they get rid of it if it was still reliable?? They are in biz to make money, and if they have to buy a new PWC… that cost money.

Like Karl said… it better be EXTREEMLY cheap.

But yes… SeaDoo basically makes 2 pumps. 140mm and the 155mm. Figure out what pump it has (should be the 155) and get one from eBay.

They are pretty cheap. Both run good with good compression but have high hours. One has 320 hrs and the other with no pump has 240. I have the seller down to $7500 Canadian for both and a trailer. What do you think. Is the 155mm the rental?

I've often wondered what the difference is between the GTI130 and the GTI13 Rental because all the parts book are specific in the differences.

That is exactly what I am trying to figure out. Since it is missing the entire pump/propulsion setup, am I better off to get one for a non-rental model and put it in.
