That seems a bit high. What kind of condition is it in? How many hrs? Service records? Does it come with trailer, cover, jackets and accessories? All those things can be a factor in cost.

Well i've looked into and realized the inherent problems with the 05' model, also noting that the supercharger needs to be replaced every hundred hours so now im looking into the 2007 Seadoo GTI 155 SE. It's listed at 8500 with 34 hours, with trailer and emergency kit.
To answer prior questions, i've been looking into buying a seadoo for roughly a month now and have been doing my homework before making offers on any rides. This will be my first ride. Also, it seems that most seadoos in Canada have a higher price tag than the US counterparts. I also plan on getting an inspection before I buy the seadoo and a compression test. What price would you guys suggest I offer?

A rebuild isn't a replacement...unless you're go to a bigger wheel....heh.

Price on your '07 seems as high...maybe it's the m,arket up there or maybe those are dealer prices.

All of the 07's are very high, I would estimate their actual value to about 6500 personally so I'm hoping that by waiting they will be willing to lower their prices. I've actually decided I am going to be a '95 Tigershark and '94 Seadoo gts, both are in running shape with a double trailer for 4000. After that I will look into the '07s, as I have some friends on my lake who I know will want to use the toys but I doubt I can trust them with 6500 bucks.
I also meant rebuild.. hehe

You say you've done your homework, and are a month into the process. So is it about a certain model/features and specs, for the best deal? Or best available/most affordable?

I have a family member that recently accepted a position in Regina SK. that was surprised by how expensive things are there. Sounds like that includes PWC's. Have you thought about buying in the states?

There was a thread here on the forum back in late '09-'10 that had several posts from/by folks up your way in different provinces discussing buying 'down here' http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?16403-Buying-in-USA you might find helpful.

Also, the following link gives you access the SeaDoo lineup from '03-'11 with full specs and features for each model. http://www.sea-doo.com/owner-center/previous-years.aspx This may be redundant if you have your sights already set.

Good luck to Ya eh, or is it ay?

For me it's definitely the most affordable at the 155 hp range. I did think about buying in the states, but that means a long trip unless i'm out at my cabin in BC and i'm able to find something in washington, as the other states closest to me are..... montana, and idaho :/

It's eh btw. Thanks for the advice

If you are 'doing homework', you ned to do some on the Tigershark you are looking at. Not a very pleasing boat to ride and is quite loud. Resale may be a problem. Don't make a snap decision on that one. Good luck.

I will be taking it for a test ride before I buy it, so if I don't like how it rides I can take my money and run. I don't plan on resale either, as the seadoo will cost 1250 bucks so it's not that much for me.
