Bushings for pump housing

Does anyone out there know what the effect would be if I forgot bushings when I put together the water pump.

Bushings in the water pump? Not sure what you are referring to

Jet pump or water pump? bushings?

I meant the bushings that you use when your putting the pump on the housing.I actually just finished taking off pump and putting it back on.I hope it takes care of my cavitation problem.Also is it fair to say your machine is only as good as your water pump?if thats true doesnt it make sense to upgrade that first,before adding more power

Oh my I just got the question.I meant the jet pump,still new
