Hi, considering getting a couple sets of these for my c180 trailer. Interested in anyones point of view how these would go with this boat, or if anyone uses them on theirs.
cheers

I can't imagine anyone having trouble getting a boat the size of a Challenger on/off the trailer... What is the specific problem?:stupid:

boat ramps here are shallow, & I won't back the rear car tyres in salt water. Therefore sometimes it takes a pretty big heave to offload the boat. The larger 21 & 24 boats would be much easier as more of the boat would go into the water before the car.

OK... yep... I've seen them, but I don't know a single person who has bought them. Not to mention, most shops that carried them have now discontinued them.

I'm sure they work, but they are kind of expensive if you need to do a trailer for a big boat.

May be a stupid suggestion but what about fabricating a trailer tongue extension (say an extra 3ft) which would go in between your car and the actual trailer...that way it would allow your trailer to go further down the ramp without your car getting close to the water. Once your done you remove it and re-connect the trailer to your car...???

Just thinking out loud, there may be something like that already on the market, if not wouldn't be difficult to fabricate!! And remember my royalty fee is 10%!! LOL

You should have bearing buddies and galvanized and just back it in like it's supposed to be done.

Ohh. Gotcha. Gotta quit reading these posts with a iPhone. Text is too small.
Wow, that's a really shallow ramp..

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm using another local ramp which is slightly steeper. The boat still needs a shove but its ok.
cheers Davo.
