Freshwater or saltwater? Either way, suck everything out of the engine like NOW with an oil vacuum pump (electric is much easier than manual pump). Pull the spark plugs out. Hold the throttle wide open and crank (it will not start this way!). Water should shoot out the spark plug holes. Try sucking more out of the crank (you should get some more). Repeat 2 or 3 times, remove the suction tube each time before cranking!!! Change the oil filter and fill with 3-4 quarts of recommended BRP 4TEC oil, re-install the plugs. Start normally and let run 5 to 10 seconds on trailer (assuming you aren't hooked to waterhose, in which case a minute or so will be ok). Suck engine crankcase dry again, do the WOT cranking thing again (with spark plugs still installed this time), change oil filter again and fill crank with fresh oil again. Start on trailer again briefly.... all seems well? Now go put it in water and ride it for 20 minutes or so... get back on trailer, let engine cool down for 30 minutes, and suck it dry 1 more time and refill with fresh oil.
NEVER let brother borrow Seadoo again! LOL!
Actually, put an automatic electric bilge pump in... $60 or so, 2 or 3 hours of install time, and have peace of mind from then on! Had it had an auto electric bilge pump (hook the auto wire directly to battery not switch... you want it ready to pump ALL THE TIME) your bro would have realized VERY quickly that the hull was taking on water as the pump would be shooting water out the thr-hull fitting, and it would have given him the time he needed to get the Doo back onto the trailer safely. There's just no downside to having an automatic electric bilge pump!
