Break in for top end rebuild

Hello
I have just rebuilt the top end on my 2001 gti, I currently run synthetic oil I the ski. Can this oil be used during the break in procedure?

What synthetic are u running? Also mix 40-1 in the gas tank during break in.

I have been running xps synthetic.

Most important thing it to heat cycle it. Ride for 15 minutes then cool for 20. First half tank at 1/4 throttle next half at 1/2 throttle second tank 1/2 at 3/4 throttle last half go wide open but don’t hold it there. Then you are done.

Great thanks . I hope to take it out this weekend. I wasn't sure if it could be done using synthetic oil. I'll follow this procedure and see how it goes. Maybe a long day at the lake.
