Hello everyone. I just opened my seat for the 1st time to winterize a ski I just bought NEW this June and only put 19 hours on it. There was ZERO coolant in the container and I am really upset. Did the dealership not put any in or is that not possible and the engine would've caught fire by now?? and if they DID put the coolant in then where could it have gone? I see no sign of it anywhere and had no issues with it on the water so I don't even know how long its been this way....any advice would be much appreciated! :-) Thanks in advance!

I just recently had this problem with my 07 rxp I did an engine coolant flush and put new stuff in took it out for a ride and came back to find the coolant tank almost empty. You most likely just had an air pocket somewhere in the system and all you have to do is top up your coolant and you're good to go

Hi thanks for your reply. So you say even after you flushed and refilled you came back to it empty? Was there a leak? Did you find out what was wrong? The reason I ask is because I want to winterize and store until May but I want to make sure there aren't more serious problems and I only have the 1 year warranty. The dealer is an hour away but I would prefer not to have to take it in because I know how dealers can do more damage than good...

If there are no leaks it is probably as 07 RXP said and there was a little air in the system. Once the air burped out the coolant level went down to take the place of the air.

My new RZR had the same issue after our first ride. Topped it off and never moved after that.

However since it is new this typically doesn’t happen. I would call your dealer and speak with the service manager. Let them know and send pictures of the empty tank. Ask them to make a service note under your VIN so next summer if there is an issue at least you have proof you reported a low coolant issue.

Always a good idea to pull the seat after every ride just to keep an eye on levels and to catch anything out of the ordinary. I have a great Dealer and still we check levels after any work done on the ski. When the 2016 RXTX 300 first came out they had a rash of loose hose clamps that came off and cause a few skis to burn up.
