Bought a used ski, have a couple of questions

A few months back I boughtmy first ski, a 92 GTX in non running condition. For $200 with the trailer I couldn't pass it up. I took a new battery to it and it starts up just fine. The only issue that the guy said was that the jet pump needed to be replaced. When I started it up I had a lot of oily/water mix coming from the exhaust. I only ran it for a minute or so and it didn't stop. Since then I haven't had time to run it but I plan to next week since I'll have some time off finally. I really don't know a while lot about skis yet but I have a shop manual that the guy gave me when I bought it.

So given that information my questions are:

Should I continue to run the ski for a minute or so at a time to see if the oily/water mix will stop flowing, or should I try something else like bypassing the oil tank and running a premix?

Also as far as the jet pump goes, exactly which pumps can I use? I see plenty on eBay used from other models that say they will most likely fit. I want to be 100% so I don't go wasting my money.

Thanks in advance, hope to be riding soon with your advice!

go run it. It'll clear the milky crap out. Bring an extra set of plugs too. If the ski jumps from holeshot, and has good, continuing pull, up until the max rpms, then pump is fine. Maybe , if anything, pull the nozzle off and expose the cone, pull it off, drain the oil from it, replace cone, then fill it up at the set screw, in the cone.

Ok cool, I just found I have to work up to Saturday so I'll try this Sunday. The only problem with the pump is the guy removed it so I'll put it back together on Sunday also.

Thank you very much for the info.
