Boat stopped running

I was out in the boat it was running good then the engine just died. I got it back to the house. Took the head off pistons look good, good compression, can turn the motor over by hand. I then tried to start it and nothing it just turns over checked spark and fuel dont know what else to look at anyone got an anwser.

Did you check to see is the rotary valve was still spinning?

No, I have not checked it yet if it is not turning what does that mean and how would I have broke it? What do I need to do to fix it.

you'll have to clarify because you started 2 different threads, here you say the engine died. In the other post you said the boat wouldn't go over 4500 rpm. Are you talking about the same boat in both posts? The other post sounded like you might have a clogged fuel system due to gray fuel lines.
