I have a 2003 Challenger 1800 with the V6 Mercury 240 EFI M2 Engine. I rescued the thing from a family member that let it sit for two years. I got it to fire many times, but never to run, so I took it to a local Marine Shop. They diagnosed it as a fuel pump issue. So I took the pump off myself and soaked it, cleaned it, and got it to work (wired it directly to the battery and it pumped all twenty gallons of fuel out of my tank and replaced it with fresh fuel.
When I hooked the fuel pump back up, I am blowing a fuel pump fuse every time I turn the key to the on setting. And still not running.
Can someone please help?
