black rubber plug - need it or not ?

I have a 93 Seadoo GTX, there used to be a small black rubber plug covering the hole in the part on the motor where I spray Sea Doo Lube, I don't know what it's called. It's missing and I don't know if I need it or not. If any pro knows, please let me know.

If I do need it, can I cover the hole with duct-tape (the universal problem solver), or do I need that part exactly.

If I need that plug, where can I get one ? Can it be ordered from somewhere ?

That thing on the top side is the Air Intake Silencer Cover. You should keep water from entering into it since it would then go directly down into the carb(s).

you dont need it. If you roled your ski over, then you'll get water anyway, from the air-ducts from the airbox assy. That plugis for "fogging" purposes.
