Good call Rich.! i've got some whit LEDs strips in my garage.., . I imagine that would work perfect on the the upper length of the support pole.. that way the light would be seen when the bimini is in stow position.. the only way it wouldnt be seen from all angles is is parked at night with the bimini open, which would probably never ever happen. i just need to give some thought to running the wires thru the tube an an alternate/ second plug in close to the stern NAV light so that I can have the bimini LEDs come on with the factory switch. I'll figure something cool out to make it work!

Tony, that looks good on there. Did you add that or was it on there already?

The islandia's came standard with a top from the factory. The one that came with the boat was in very good condition. I got the boat from a rental shop, and I guess a couple years ago, they had a top get crushed, so they replaced it... and then didn't let it out with the boat, without an extra deposit. The boot has one little "Rub" spot in it... but the actual top looks near new. Oh... and it has a set of short legs to put it in it's "Storage" position. (you can see that in my avatar)

Looks good! staainless is good material, just ask John DeLorean! Another added note on my bimini. It came in GRAY Only color, so I had to use a special nylon dye spray paint that had to be special ordered to make it gold/yellow to match my speedster. I think it turned out rather nice for a DIY job though!

I would never have known you changed the color on it. Looks good.

Hi again! Well got a spare second and installed LED ( white ) strips like Rich thought up on my Bimini Support Pole to act as a Stern/Anchor Light. This is what I came up with...all wire is hidden inside tube, just had to add an extra plug from my factory Stern light mount which is accessed under the engine hood/ cover! Looks at pics..these are BRIGHT! Turned up good! Good idea Rich!

looks good. i wanna see it on the boat at night time...how much did you get out this year?

Oh hey man, yeah i had carb gum up on me mid summer, so i honestly think maybe 3-4 times the whole summer.. Isn't that a shame...!

Already winterized for this season too. : (

Guess I could try to get a pic of the bimini light on the boat sometime this winter! will try to at least.
