If it's a Rule then it's probably red/white with a black base.
On the floor of the hull near the back. Only the one discharge hose coming from it....leading to the outside.
Here are pics of the RAVE caps. Screwed all the way in. I looked everywhere in the back of the ski for a bilge pump. looking for something black. I would have seen a red and white or blue and white pump. I didnt see one ANYWHERE. Do all 1999 gtx limiteds have them? How would I go about installing on? I really need it. I don know where the water is coming from in the hull and need to at least be safe about the situation at hand.
Here is the back of my hull. yes i see the oil as well. dont know where this is coming from either. this is a new engine so i have no idea whats going on. it runs great in my opinion. im missing a few rpms but thats nothing to cry about.
You have bailers that work off of suction. There are two tubes that come out near the jet pump after the prop. With the ski moving water flows over the tubes creating a vacuum to suck the water from the hull. If one of the tubes breaks it will do just the opposite and fill the hull full of water. The water will be hot due to running over hot engine and exhaust. I had both tubes broken on mine and found that was the cause. Could get ski to top speed cruising lake and within five minutes hull is half full of water. I also have the oil film in my hull but mine is from fogging engine and spraying everything down after use. Bilge cleaner works great for cleaning it up.
If you have ski on a trailer running with a hose hooked to it and do not have water entering anywhere. You do not have a leak in engine or exhaust. If you have your plugs in ski off you can fill bottom of hull with water. Just do not fill over carbs. Watch bottom of ski for leaks. What leaks in will leak out. If you can not find what is leaking the only other thing is the tru hull seal. A bent drive shaft or bad bearings for prop also can make through hull seal leak.
The tubes are not that easy to change do to seizing but about ten dollars for two. Its best to freeze the housing to remove old pipes and (after getting to room temp) would put housing in oven to heat to install new. Hope that help.
