Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forums and tried to do some advanced searches but came up blank. I'm looking to get a Sea-Doo PWC (2007 or newer) and don't want to break the bank but would like to get something that is a great ALL-AROUND PWC that has a fast top end speed along with something that will get out of the water quick (I'm 255 lbs) and can be used to pull a water skier and tubes....I might be asking for something that doesn't exist but thought there is no better place then to ask here!!

If I'm off base and there are other good scenarios please let me know....

Thanks,

warchant

Well... you may not get too many answers on this since it's an opinion question, and I'm not going to give you an answer either.

You asked for the best of everything with a cheap price tag. (doesn't exist)

If you want to pull a skier/tube then (by law) you have to buy a 3 passenger ski. Also, a 3 passenger ski will be the most stable.

From there... the price tag will dictate your top speed.

Good luck with your purchase.

I got a friend who just bought 2 new 2009 GTI SE's for $8200 each brand new. They are the smallest engine models made that year. 130 HP. They easily do 52-54 mph. I weigh 300 lbs and they still go that fast. I think a lot of time people think they need a 215 or 255, but the cost of the added maintenance and supercharger issues doesnt really outweigh what you get in my book. low 50's is plenty fast enough.

Agreed, If you are happy with 5x mph then you can't beat the GTI SE 2007-2009. I pull a loaded 4 person tube no problem. I decided 55 was plenty for my family and didn't want to mess with supercharger repairs.

I probably mis quoted myself when saying "cheap" however what I meant was that I don't want to drop 14,000 on a rxp-215 or the rxp-x 255 however if there is a good overall PWC that is less expensive then those and I can get all the needs I'm looking for speed, pulling a skier or tube then I'm totally good. I appreciate everyone's input on this and look forward to some more opinions....

Goatcha.

There are a bunch of 08 and 09 left overs. I know locally, I can get a 215, whatever for about $8500.

Go to your local dealer and see what they have. You may find that you can get a new one for the same price of a used 07.

what is a good price for a Sea-Doo RXT-X255 (2009) or (2008) that is new? Anyone that knows a good deal let me know....

Love my 2007 GTI SE

I'll agree with the 2007 155hp GTI SE which I own. They redesigned the hull in 2007, ski is nimble, fast (62mph max so far) and if so far as been far worth the cash.
