Got a 2007 sea doo utopia.
We submarine it once in a while. Put in reverse and water goes over the front. Everyone loves it. Problem when we did it last summer we hit a wake. Hit really hard and popped rivets on the hull. Put in an insurance claim but they say boats arnt designed to do that. What does sea doo say. Is this something they are designed to do? You would think it they weren't that you wouldn't be able to put in reverse while going fast?

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should and it is designed for it. Common sense says you should not throw something in reverse when going forward.
Just because I can put my Nissan in reverse going forward on the freeway at 70mph doesn't mean the transmission should survive and Nissan be responsible when it doesn't.
You did something fun but not advisable, get a pop-rivet gun and fix your mistake.

That was the next question. If I'm not going to get insurance how big of job os it to fix. I got scared by fiberglass estimate. He quoted over $20,000 canadian to fix. Was going to gel coat all the way around. You think I can just remove the bumper. Rivets back together and reinstall the bumper?

Boats in great shape other then the rivets issue and I love the boat. Don't want to cheap out and I want it to last but I can't afford to put that into it.

Post some pictures please.
If it’s damaged fiberglass it’s probably not worth fixing. If it’s broken rivets it’s a reasonable DIY repair

It's really hard to get a picture of. It's separated on left side of boat for a few feet neer the front then it goes back together. Then a few feet after that. It's just under the bumper and it's a small gap.

Here is the estimate. Of coarse when it's an insurance job they don't cut any corners. But don't want issues after I fix it.

To me it doesn't look bad at all. Drill out and replace some rivets and reseal.
