best impeller? Solas?

I am looking for replacement impeller for my 01 Utopia- I have to replace the wear ring- so why everything is apart I might as well bite the bullet and go for a new impeller.

I looked at Solas- Concord. Good/bad?

Any other choices let me know and where I can get them.

There is a lot of controversy on this… BUT… it depends what your definition of “The Best” is.

The solas impellers are the most efficient out of any of the aftermarket impellers. They are known to help load the engine, and in turn, help top speed, cruse speed, and fuel economy.

The Skat-Trak “Swirl” impellers are known to be the best in removing all signs of cavitation, and are the best for getting out of the hole. (important if you tow skiers, or tubes) But, they generally drop your top speed a few MPH.

There you have it in a nut shell… chose what you consider “Better” and go with it.

I personally have a 16-21 Skat-Track Swirl, and it made a HUGE difference in how my boat accelerates.

I also have the swirl, i think 16-22, and it hops me out of the hole awesomely. I lost an mph or 2, literally, by GPS, 2 or less, going from stock to swirl. But picked up lots of takeoff power.

I have no experience with any other impellers.
