So I took the ski to the lake for the weekend. previously i have only had it out one time and it ran fine. I dropped it in the lake on sat and ran it all day. sunday morning i went down to start it and it rolled over too slow and ended up killing the batt. I got a jump from my boat and it fired and ran for a while.. then my friend wanted to try it out so i let him.. needless to say it hadnt charged the battery at all after me riding it. I took it home and tested the voltage with it running and got 12.14 and with it off i got 12.43. so its not charging at all. Any idea what it could be besides the stator? how many volts should i be charging at?

most likely, the regulator has gone bad. I think your ski has the regulator built into the MPEM... but there are kit's to replace it, and make it an "External" regulator.

hmm.. I didnt know that.. I have a spare mpem. I will swap it and see if it is charging.

Where would one find these external kits?

Ok, so i guess it might be my stator after all. I tested the yellow leads to each other and got no response from my multimeter. then i tested the ignition wires- yellow/white to the yellow/black and got .19 so I think thats why the thing runs but wont charge.
