jumping my jet ski battery I had charged it last week and now I go to use it and its dead can i jump it that same way I do a car message asap looking to leave with in 5 min lol

NEVER jump with a running machine, car, tractor, or use a battery charger to overcome a weak battery, you damage the electronic system. Use a not running car, tractor, other boat.

DO NOT do it with the Car Running!
You can jump it from another battery or battery in a vehicle if the vehicle is NOT running.
Running veh can mess up your electronics

good luck

You guys are absolutly... 100% right.

BUT...

look at the year of his ski. He doesn't have am MPEM. It's better to not do it from a running verhical... but it probably won't mater.

What about the rev limiter circuitry, and the start-stop button - me thinks this uses a 7404 flip-flop circuit which needs a 5volt regulator to operate.

well your posts were not fast enough lol but greatly appropriated. i did in fact try and use the running car but i had to string 3 jumper cables to reach the battery so it did not have enough amps to jump the ski with that much cord from battery to battery but i said F it and when to the lake when i arrived i talked to a guy he said take your battery out of your car and put it in the ski and jump it like that worked 1st try and got to ride till the lightning started ! thank you guys I don't know whats wrong i just spent 150 last year to get my ski tuned at a marina and got a new battery weeks ago still wont hold a charge. also when i go to sit in idle it shuts off so i usually got to jump it again any speculations on why?

rectifier bad....probably need to take carbs off and go thru them, since the marina "said" they did, but just took your money....:ack:
