Battery compartment divider modifications?

So while I've been riding for years now I finally broke down and got a brand new rxpx. So far I love this thing but my one (kind of stupid) complaint is that if you ride the ski agressivly at all the stupid battery compartment divider falls down and I have to fish my stuff out from next to the battery. I know it really serves no purpose other than to keep stupid people from touching stuff but I would like to keep my stuff from falling down next to the battery. Any ideas on a better way to keep it up or should I just get a big dry box and ditch the divider all together?

Post a picture of the area, I have no divider in my skis. They hard mount down in their own little area.
