Went out to the cabin to tow our non running ski to the ramp and take it into town and our running ski won’t start. Battery was low, tested at 12.1v so I threw it on the charger. About how long should I charge it for? It’s been on for about an hour. It turned over but it was a little weak.

It usually takes a few hours since you should be charging it slowly. I big car charger typically fries the small powersports batteries.

Also after a couple of seasons they usually won't come back.

It depends on how many amps your charger is pushing in.

At 2 amps give it a couple hours like mikidymac said.

You can put 10 amps on for a short time to get the machine to fire and then let the machine do the charging while the motor is running. How long at 10 amps??? As little as possible, I never go longer than a minute or two. I only go this route in a pinch, the best approach is low amps over a longer period to keep from hurting the battery.

PINCH THE WATER INLET HOSE BEFORE YOU TOW! Just in case you don't know to do this.
