Bad water box valve

Hello there i have been having Rave issues with ski i also noticed that the waterbox rave is shot has a rip no good replacing it soon i want to know will this cause bad performance or even a bog like a carb is clogged i have used ski once just trying to figure out my bog issue being its there for just a brief 3 sec then gone.... is this valve jazzing up my ski .. i only say this because in my reading i hear water in exaust sometimes then u want less as wot hits with the bellow being ripped is waterbox just loaded all time with water

u just have a reply for all my questions man i love this forum answers or feed back fast . u have been a big help
i do want to clean carbs but previous owner did just last year with paperwork n my hand . i will be totally rebuilding those rave valves housings and all to stop that oil leaking the water box rave was toast to if the bog issue could b that i would
much rather change it out and not pull carbs c if it fix's it .. its all about saving money not wasting it on things i may not need 300 bucks n parts to rebuild raves .. serious cash i like guaranties im wanting to b 100 percent it will cure that oil issue n theory it makes since ... im tearing in to this thing today to fix any and all issues i c then if i have to carbs
