i was just wondering... i think i found a good spot to mount the amp.. i was going to try and do some amazing system but am opting to just do a kicker 4 channel ammp with 4 kicker speakers.. i was looing around my 2010 speedster 150 and found that just behind the cluster there is a nice flat surface that looks big enough to fit the kicker 4 channel amp and would be perfect since the headunit is right there also and i can just run the speaker output on the headunit right to the amp.. and the 2 factory speakers are already wired so i would only have to run new wiring to the speakers in the bow.. also good news is that the 2010 speedster 150's (not sure what other years have it) have the battery switch right under the steering console (basically right by drivers right knee).. so i can just wire the amp to the switch instead of running it back to the battery.. so now my only wiring concern is grounding the amp.. is there anywhere right behind the cluster that would be good for groundng or am i stuck running it all the way back to the battery/engine area???

The only place I am comfortable doing it was at the battery. You might have some place different though. You could use a ground up front, like the one on the 12 volt plug. I just prefer going back to the battery.

should the powe wire also be run directly to the battery or can it just be added on to the switch that cuts the battery off from all electrnics?

You want the power wire to go directly to the battery switch. To the main post that gets power when the switch is on only.
