Hey. I live in Pembroke. Great place to seadoo. Very long tours with very nice places to stop & beautiful Scenery. Im pretty sure i can go from Pembroke to Mattawa by water. By road its about 150k. Not sure by water. this is a site i was looking at of a couple boat tourng. The pictures give a good account of what im talking about.

I have a cottage on the Ottawa River very close to Pembroke. Its on the Quebec side, accross from Petawawa, just through Chapeau and Sheenboro. The water is really nice up there for sure!

Do you know if there any hotels that are one the water and have over night docking??? im plannin a week long trip and was thinking of staying at Hidden Valley witch is in Muskoka cause they have a dock that i can tie to over night. but the area you posted looks like a nice place to boat. Also question what that area like as far as rocks and other obejcts in the water, i know huntville and muskoka you need to be VERY carfull of rocks.

Yes there are a few hotels in the area but your best best would be to stay in pembroke and dock at the permbroke marina...not sure about overnight docking you would have to call and ask. Here is a link to some nearby hotels: http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&source=s_q&view=text&q=hotel+pembroke+on

As for the water...it is amazing no rocks or anything of the sort....I have been boating in those waters since my family would let me take out our 9hp. There are a few spots to note but they are well marked. Hope you enjoy the trip....I love the place!
