any common vts problems to troubleshoot first? mine's not working

i have an 06 rxp 215 and the vts is not working... checked the fuses and everthing's fine.. any common problems with them? switch? trim motor? did i overlook something stupid? any suggestions would be aprreciated to get it working again.. thank u

An '06 XRP has OPASS & reverse. Do you have a thru-hull VTS?

Thats a worm drive rod sliderblock module assembly. Or is yours cable, you know?

with out loooking at it, im gonna say a driverod assembly.. cause the switch is electronic back to the trim motor in the rear of the hull.. then from the motor to the jet assembly is a rod

I would remove the motor cover and visibly check for water leakage into the electric motor area or possibly an electrical connection.
