Another weekend another problem

2006 RXP so it all ready had a problem of when hitting bumps the information center would essentially reset “welcome aboard” message would come up then all would be fine until the next hard bump.

well this weekend I started getting some random beeps but with no fault message or codes. Little while after the information center seemed to freeze up. Showed all 8’s etc, then it went dark. Ski still seems to run fine but it beeps at random times including one long beep after the 2 chirps when putting the dess key in. Starts and runs fine but no gauges and beeps.

so far I checked all fuses and cleaned a little corrosion off the MPEM connections but still nothing.

is the information center dead or something else? No water or moisture inside. Getting 12v at the plug going into the cluster.

hate to spend the money on a new cluster and it not solve anything.

The long beep is a communication error with your gauge. You either have a bad connection to the gauge or your gauge is failing.

Random question but if I’m suddenly seeing this on an 08 GTI SE 155, as well as my fuel injectors suddenly not spraying fuel - would my gauges be going bad? Or would my ECU being going bad?
