Could spark be causing my bogging problems. It wont idle out on the water and with the throttle held down it will move like 2 mph. I've changed all the fuel lines and cleaned the carbs. Everything looked good in the carbs so I let it be. It was running great when I first bought it in April now cant get it going. It usually starts right up but sometimes its a pain to start. I pulled the return line off and I am getting fuel through the carbs. Please help!!!

I doubt that the spark is causing your problems. SeaDoo's don't have a real strong spark, and it usually either sparks or doesn't.

Get a compression reading on both cylinders and let us know what the compression is.

Alright Ill have to get my hands on one but Ill let you know when I get it. How exactly do you test it? Pull both plugs or just one at a time?

Remove both spark plugs, ground the spark plug boots. Open the throttle and crank the engine.

You can buy a compression gauge at most auto parts stores, Harbor Freight, Sears, or just borrow one. I've got a cheap one I've had for years, works fine.

On the front of the engine right above the magneto there's a grounding bar, it's got two round things that kinda stick above a piece of orange plastic. You really need to download at least an owner's manual.

Ok I wondered what that was for. And Ill be sure to download one of those. Thanks for answering my questions and putting up with me!

Any one know if these rebuild kits are good and not aftermarket ones. They are a lot cheaper than all the other ones I have seen.

Those rebuild kits look fine. I mostly seen just the diephram go bad. I mean they get hard and won't move. Get some brake clean and spray out every hole in the carbs. I also had problem last weekend with the fuel selector. I had to keep it on res to run right. Good luck.

Update: Compression was 135-140 in each cylinder. It was a little hard to read the guage but it was right around in there. The carb kits should be here Monday so I hope to have this thing going by Monday night or Tuesday morning!!! Will keep you posted. And thanks again for all the help and hopefully this fixes my problem!

Yes I replaced those. I have it narrowed down to the carb diaphragms so I ordered rebuild kits. They should be in tomorrow. Hoping it works. Im about sick of seeing it in pieces in the garage with tools all over it.

Welcome to the world of these beautiful, frustrating, awsome skis...I've kinda taken the approach..that they are like a woman, you love 'em but they are high maintenance, but when everything lines up just right...there's no better feeling in the world,,except having "both" women out at the same time on a small island....hehe..yea..I'm nuts...but I love these things, and have learned SO much from these guys. a bit off topic and I apologize...but a small peice of heaven last weekend, at Dunedin Causeway, island hoppin and searchin for a cold, fresh water spring...with good friends and both my women, and man they were both smokin HOT
