How much hull water is normal?

I have a sea doo gtx 155 2014 model, I'm wondering.. with casual use, no significant spray coming over the ski, gentle riding etc.. How much water if any is considered normal to be in the hull after half a day out on the water?

I have a 2010 GTS and an 09 RXT-X. I play HARD on my RXT and at the end of 4 or so hours I have minimal water. I would bet maybe pint. In my GTX, which my wife rids, she has all but zero. I think that most will get more than I do based on all that I have read, But for me, it is almost nothing even in very wet confitions. I keep thinking I should put bilge pumps on, but really can't justify it. If I do it, it will be for peace of mind due to a sudden leak.

Thanks for the info Coastie. I'd say after a day out (fishing) I have about 1.5 large glasses worth. I'm not worried too much about that itself, I'm just wondering HOW it is getting in. I don't think anything is getting in through the seating area. If it is a seal degrading, not tightened enough or the like. I hear horror stories about clamps coming loose and sea doo's sinking.

Take a look at the Carbon Seal. Run the ski with the sea off and see if water is coming in through the seal. It is suppose to leak by design, but only enough to cool theseal. Just drips kind of thing. If there is a stream, then it needs attention.

I just had a similar problem with one of my '02 GTXs. I took the ski down to the boat ramp, pulled the seat and the seat support, started the ski and started looking. The carbon seal was good, but I found water coming in between the O.P.A.S. valve and the hull. I pulled the jet pump and the valve, and noticed that when the valve was installed, someone peeled a section of the gasket back, so it wasn't sealing. I ordered the RIVA block off plate; problem solved. I'm not sure how your O.T.A.S. system works on your ski, but I imagine that there is a pressure line coming off the jet pump into the hull somewhere. Coastiejoe's advice worked for me; just make sure the ski is in the water.

Thanks mkov, I appreciate the detailed info and link. I'm going to run it and have a look at the link seal and around that area. I have to install an intake shut-off valve for towing anyhow. I will report back.

I'm curious now... a bilge pump would be good peace of mind. How would you guys implement the output hose? Is there an output that it could be joined to without interrupting anything important?

Most drill hole and use a Through-Hull fitting. You want it above the water line or you will need to install a check valve as well.

Iv see a guy come up and out thru the air intake at the front of the seat.
