Have a gtx 4 tec supercharged I've asked a question about already. Little backstory it was originally my parents ski bought new in 04. Has lived its life in Salt water and has been trailerd for a while. I have a shade tree mechanic that repairs skis out of his garage and is trusted around here getting alot of business from where it was originally purchased. 80 hours on machine.

I have had screen repaired, mpep, wiring harness replaced. Battery spark plugs, etc. Mpep was most recent and paid 900 plus labor. Dad had the ski there before he passed and had some labor charges from the past for 300.

Thought I was OK then went out barely hit throttle and driveshaft snapped steering bolts that holds the jet pump replaced along those lines. He has a mix of used and new parts so this will be $900. I also bought the brp brand supercharger rebuild kit so at 400 and whatever labor. All in all will be in it pushing 3k. Im dying to go out and have a fresh water lake to use now but help feel i couldve found another ski or forgot it completely. How bad have i messed up?

If it were me, $3000 is where I would probably stop on a 2004 and sell it for parts or what you can get. You can buy a running, reasonably well maintained ski for $3000 in most parts of the country.
