I added a hood from a speedster to my sportster and now I have room for gauges. I know I need the little paddle wheel mounted on the ride plate. Will a ride plate from a ski fit the boat? What do you guys recommend to add the little paddle wheel. Thank you. Devon.

No, the ride plate from a ski won't fit. On the boats, the speed sensor mounts to the rear of the hull. There is a separate support plate for sender.

Do you happen to know what it might look like? IN the parts diagram for the Challenger it looks like it has a slot in the shoe for the speedo pickup. Thanks for the help. Devon.

I would also like to see a diagram of the speedo sensor. My Speedster's speedo is missing a part and I need to determine what it is and if my base part that is still on the boat is broken or not.

ok the black spinning thing. sorry not trying to sound dumb just trying to learn. cant find anyone to help me. thanks thou

I was thinking about changing my speedo to GPS instead of the paddle wheel for better acuracy. just my 2 cents thou.

I had thought about adding a GPS speedo but they are really expensive and I would need it to fit in a 2" dash hole. Most of the units on the market are only for 3 1/4".
