I came across a 2000 Seadoo lrv for dirt cheap just had a locked motor, turns out the top end was the only problem. None the less I am just going to replace the entire engine as last owner didnt know how to rinse the inside off after use, yet they took very nice care of the outside, outside is perfect not even scratches in the hull.....

I didn't think I would like owning such a large slower ski, however after having it sit at my shop I have become acustom to it and have decided to repair it instead of parting it out. I have never even seen an lrv before this one, turns out almost no one owns them, even though they are not the greatest thing since slice cheese I can tell you its great to have tons of storage on it for my other half, Still able to do about 50mph isnt what I would call too bad for it.

With all that room inside the hull makes me think about installing a powerhead from a outboard on her.

Its crazy how much the lrv's actually sell for in very nice condition, I was amazed they sell for so much.

I thought it was pretty neat once I got it home I figured I was going to part it out however I sort of feel in love with it and decided to fix it. 25 gallon fuel tank is crazy big as well. From what I have been told they still do about 50mph......That doesnt seem too bad however I wonder how the rotax mach z 1000 would do in it or a powerhead from an outboard like a 200hp merc.....

I decided to do a search and low and behold found a guy that actually put a 2.5 merc 200hp in a lrv and after he finished the ski did just over 80mph, if thats a true story and really happened I am game to invest in more knowledge on what needs to be done and how.

It would be crazy funny to see a jetski limo passing a hopped up xp like it was sitting still! lol

This is only the youtube video of it, I found it on greenhulk while researching a gsx with a 2.5 merc v6 in it, I had the idea of putting a powerhead in mine and decided to see if it could be done, and I stumbled on their site, it shows tons of picture of his build and the true merc 2.5 v6 in a gsx hull and then a water trailer test, it sounds sick in the water running, I then found a link of where his friend did the same thing to a seadoo lrv..... That really got me thinking.
