Hi all,

I had an intermittent bogging down issue with my 99 GTX LTD 951 (have posted in trouble shooting threads). AS it turns out this was being caused by having NO accelerator pump, the previous owner had removed it!!!
As a consequence whenever the water was choppy the fuel would slosh around in the tank, pressure would build up and a whole heap of fuel would dump into one of the carbies thus creating the bogging down issue.

Its all fixed now i.e have put accelerator pump back on all seems well.:)

My question is: Why would someone remove the accelerator pump?

"We're on a mission from God."

because the "lag" the pump creates. If they removed it, and not rejetted accordingly, then that was the problem, but skis up until late 97 i believe, then, came out with the excell pumps. Personnally, i dont like them, but thats beside the point....anyway, did you check your jets prior to installing the excell pump/verify that you have the right jets in there?

Thanks for the reply Seadooya. Yep all is good a certified Seadoo Service Centre did it. Carbs and all. Cheers.
