Just got done replacing all of the fuel lines, cleaning the selector switch, then took the carbs off to find that the previous owner stripped the screw heads. I decided to put everything back together and once together I tried to start it. The ski will turn over and it started then died wouldnt stay running long enough to get the hose going. Any suggestions? It was running before I took the carbs off.

Id put a little fuel in the engine just to get it going. Personally Id be scared to see whats inside those carbs and either get them open and re tap, or get a set of used carbs.

I would rebuild or have the carbs. rebuilt use genuine mukini kits. Which carb. screws are stripped? If the previous owner was that careless, and did not replace the screws, its probably a bad rebuild job.

I am planning a rebuild soon on the carbs but would like to test it out before I tear it apart again. The carb screws that are stripped are the ones that are on the side and a couple on the bracket that holds the two carbs together. I am ok with working on the carbs but getting stripped screws out I have not done, any suggestions on what to use to get them out?

I did figure out why I couldnt keep it running. I mixed up two fuel lines when I did it last night and switched them today and it started right up. I am getting it in the water again tomorrow and will see if it runs the same as last time. Last time it ran fine but I know what the grey fuel lines due so I wanted to change them.
