99gsx limited accelerator pump

Thanks for that information. I have seen that also. I was thinking that the restrictor/check valve kept the fuel moving toward the brass fittings. When the pump is depressed without the restrictor the fuel can push back toward the carb unless the pulse line/pump keep the fuel moving in one direction. The restrictor that was sent to me looks like a plastic check valve.

The plastic piece is a check valve and not having a functioning one of those in place will cause the a-pump not to work. I was speaking of the little brass jet that actually pushes into and sits inside the fuel line.

To throw it out there... Just services a 98gtx/ltd and the line from carb to excel pump, did not have a restrictor. The orange "one way" within the pump, is just that, so no restrictor needed

That is actually not correct... The 1998 GTX does use the restrictor jet in the line. It is number 72 in the parts diagram, Recharge Jet
270500348.

Isn't the check valve closer to the discharge connection. I thought I checked the round plastic piece and shined a light through it to see if there was a check valve in it.

What I was referring to was the internal valve. I think it is located behind the brass discharge port of the AP

Services another 99gtx. Same thing, no restrictor jet within the line from carb to pump. This ski was 1 owner and carbs untouched

I don't know what to say other than all the ones I have done have had them and members that have taken them out experience performance issues.

for future reference where do you buy that restrictor? part number from seadoo doesn't show a price so i'm guessing its not available.
